I'm just very glad that today is over.
My boss suicided on December 7th last year. And today we finally have the closing accounts from December 31st, and we finally are in a position to start the process of acquiring the company from his estate.
So today I had a meeting with his widow, who has to administer his estate, despite the fact that every time she gets a new bit of company paperwork it brings it all back, and despite the fact that every time she goes to the house to collect the mail, she's reminded of when she went there that evening and found him there.
She asked me if it gets any better.
I told her that it does... but that it takes flaming ages, and that each step forwards is accompanied by half a step back. I didn't have much to offer by way of encouragement.
In other not-strictly-unrelated news, today is Anne's birthday. Pffft... |
